Panonian Land

Panonian Land took over north part of Serbia known as Province of Vojvodina. The Autonomous Province of Vojvodina. is an autonomous province in Serbia, containing about 27% of its total population according to the 2002 Census. It is located in the northern part of the country, in the Pannonian plain of Central Europe. Its capital and largest city is Novi Sad, at over 300,000 people, while its second largest city is Subotica. Vojvodina has six official languages, and there are more than 26 ethnic groups in the region. The name "Vojvodina" in the Serbian language simply means a type of duchy. Its original historical name (from 1848) was the "Serbian Voivodship" (Srpska Vojvodina), but since Vojvodina is now a part of Serbia, there is no need for the prefix "Serbian" anymore.

Also, medieval Forterss in Bacs are very beautifull with asttonish donjon tower. Over 20 castles nad palaces was built by vojvodina’s noblemans during 18th and 19th century. Salas, engraved into Vojvodina's landscape, a true jewel of the Pannonian plain and a lighthouse of the vast "Pannonian sea", is a genuine monument of Vojvodina's culture. The word salas is of Turkish and Hungarian origine, and means "a protected place" or "asylum". Nomadic Hungarian people used tohave their own  "salas", a place of temporary settlement. Salas is a farm estate, usually distanced from urban areas, with a house to live in, accompanying buildings and land. They were built with a wish to be close to the land that requires nothing but hard work. Nowadays, they are places of peace where people from urban areas may easily find much-needed rest while enjoying traditional food and drink.
